We found Nepal Lion Tours online and decided to book through them given their great reviews. We were not disappointed. From arranging our trip to Manaslu (which I would thoroughly recommend) , to picking us up at the airport and then onto the 10 day walk the guys were great. We had a phenomenal time during our 10 day walk - Binod , Nikesh "Picass" and "Razenger" were knowledgeable and hard working looking after us, walking with us and ensuring we were ok during the whole time. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nepal Lion Tours if you are interested in seeing or walking any bit of Nepal.

I booked with them at the last minute for a five day trek around poon hill and had a great time. Everything was very well organised, staff very flexible and trying their best to accommodate, and very good knowledgeable guide (shout out to Prakash). I didn’t put five stars only because of the bad weather (rain and fog), but I came at the low season. I did get to see the mountains and it was the highlight of the trip.

My husband and I used Nepal Lion Tours for our honeymoon on the Manaslu Circuit. Our guide Binod was AMAZING!!! As well as our porter Bikas. The office manager Shiva was professional and easy to work with as well. We had no problems at all with trip details like transportation, tea house bookings, food orders, permit, or day to day trekking. My only complaint is that the bus ride on the first day took twice as long as we were told (part of the road is steep, winding and muddy when it rains). In general, I would recommend avoiding rainy season- at least for the Manaslu Corcuit- if you can. Binod did a GREAT job making us feel safe and also helped us have fun! We liked how he gave us clear expectations about length and steepness of hiking for the day as well as where we would stop for lunch. You can tell Binod has done this many times before. I would HIGHLY recommend trekking with Binod at Nepal Lions Tours. Thank you Binod!!!

I did the langtang valley view trekking with my friend and our guide, Binod. We got really lucky with the weather, and had a great time. Binod was very knowledgeable and always seemed to be concerned for our safety and well-being. Shiva was very helpful in sorting out our trekking insurance and permits, and was also understanding and helpful when we had trouble with getting money on our arrival in Kathmandu. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I’m excited to return in the future.

I had a wonderful trip with Nepal Lion Tours. Shiva was in good contact before I came to Nepal to arrange everything. My guide for the trek, Pasang Lama Tamang was wonderful!!!!! He made sure I acclimitised safely and comfortably and took care of me so well at each tea house on the road. I had food allergies that he was really great about helping with. He also helped others along the way when they were not so lucky as me. It was an amazing trek - made even more amazing by Pasang.

Myself and 2 other friends went on this 5 day trek to poon hill and ghorepani, 2 days were spent mainly traveling from Kathmandu to pokhara on a bus but even this was an exciting experience. The 3 days we spent trekking were great, we had never trekked before but found this a great introduction and already want to go back. The trek involved lots of steps and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately it was cloudy when we climbed poon hill for the sun rise but we still had a great time drinking hot chocolate and taking in the cloudy scenery. On our 3rd day the clouds disappeared and we had an excellent view of the mountains while in gandruk. While on the trek we stayed in 3 different guest houses, all with different facilities but with friendly staff and great views, do bring ear plugs and an eye mask though. Overall great trek, our guide Binod was brilliant, very helpful, was nice to not to have to plan anything and just go with the flow.

We went with a group of 5 friends to Nepal for 2 weeks. Shiva help us customize a 12-day trek around Manaslu. It was amazing -- blooming rhodedendrons, baby yaks, and a chance to experience the local culture. Our guide Binod and assistant guide Raj took awesome care of us, recommending on-the-fly changes to our itinerary to make sure we crossed the Larkhe pass safely and stayed on schedule without running into too much weather. If we go back to Nepal, we will definitely be booking with Nepal Lion again
