We will take you sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley the following day. However, we will only be able to cover the major tourist attractions, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be fascinated by the historical and religious heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more. At night, we will make some preparations for our trekking journey.

The following morning, we will drive to our first destination, Dhunche. The drive will be of 7-8 hours as we pass through dense forests, rustic villages, terraced farmlands, narrow ridges, and off-road trails that offer pristine green scenery and turquoise surrounding. Moreover, we will get spectacular views of famous mountains like Mt. Annapurna II (7,937 m), Ganesh Himal (7,442 m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), and many more.

Following the beautiful sceneries of the mountain ranges, we will trek toward Thulo Syabru around Langtang Valley. The trek will take 5-6 hours, and we can take short breaks timely if you’re exhausted. The journey from Dhunche is blissful and pleasant for a spectacular glimpse of Ganesh Himal. Overnight, we will stay at Thulo Syabru.

Today, we will walk to Lama Hotel to continue our adventurous journey. The highlights of this day are the Langtang river and the beautiful rhododendron forest. There is also a chance for you to see red pandas, monkeys, and bears in their natural habitat in Bamboo, a famous place for the endangered red pandas, monkeys, and many other animals. From this point, we climb uphill towards Changtang, known as Lama Hotel.

Our next destination will be Langtang Village the following day. The trail passes through Gumanechowk, where we see Yaks grazing in their natural habitat. The mountain’s beauty will grow as we move forward, and we will get closer views. Langtang Village will be our home for the night.

Our trekking period will be short as we head to Kyanjin Gompa (3,830 m) today. As part of this trek, you can explore an ancient Buddhist monastery and a cheese factory, and Kyanjin Gompa is a fun place to spend the day. Moreover, there are tantalizing peaks surrounding the majestic Kyanjin Gompa: Langtang Lirung, Kyanjin Ri, Tserko Ri, and Naya Kagri.

Kyanjin Gompa is the most preferred destination for acclimatization and exploration. Here, we can also explore Tserko Ri, one of the best viewpoints of the Langtang valley. Kyanjin Ri (4,850 m) is yet another spectacular site to hike up to while you adjust your body to the altitude.

Today, our trekking journey will get more exciting as we enter a non-human settlement of Ngengang. We will set up camps and tents and even have a campfire to make the night memorable. You can view many beautiful sights of Langtang Lirung, glaciers, waterfalls, forests, and wildlife.

Our trail will now ascend through a challenging path to reach our destination, Ganja-La Pass (5,106 m). Walking through moraines of glaciers, waterfalls, and snow-covered paths, we will continue our trail to get there. You will be fascinated by the scenery of mountains like Langtang Lirung. By the end of the day, we will descend to the beautiful village of Keldang to stay for the night.

Today, we will again set up tents for camping at Dukpu. Before getting there, we will pass by the famous village of Helambu. Since Dukpu doesn’t have any human settlement or civilization, we will have a fun campfire to spend our night.

Our returning trail now leads us to Tarke Ghyang. A steep descend through rocky trails entering dense rhododendron forest, we will get through the pathway to Tarke Ghyang. You will enjoy some warm local food served with warming welcome.

Today is a rest day in the beautiful village of Tarke Ghyang. You can explore the nearby Helambu village and enjoy your day. Moreover, you can interact with the local villagers and explore their culture.

We will now descend to Sermanthang as our final destination approaches. Sermanthang is a famous ethnic village of Sherpa. Exploring the greenery and snow-covered mountains, we will reach the village to stay for the night with welcoming local villagers.

Finally, we will return to Kathmandu after a short tour of Melamchi Pul Bazaar. You will explore many farmlands and small Sherpa settlements before returning to the city of Kathmandu.

Our Lantang Ganja La Pass Trek ends on the last and 16th day. So, you’ll be returning home after a long, exhausting, and excellent trek. Today, we’ll drive you to the Tribhuwan International Airport concerning your scheduled flight.
