Itinerary

Your journey begins with a scenic landing at Paro International Airport, one of the most beautiful air routes in the world. Upon arrival, your Bhutanese guide will welcome you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Rinpung Dzong, a majestic fortress-monastery, and the National Museum of Bhutan, which houses artifacts and art that narrate Bhutan’s history. An evening stroll around Paro town lets you experience local life. Overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. En route, enjoy views of terraced fields and rivers. In Thimphu, explore Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace, and the towering Buddha Dordenma Statue, overlooking the valley. Later, visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, Bhutan’s administrative and monastic center. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Spend the day discovering the cultural treasures of Thimphu. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and National Library, home to ancient manuscripts. Explore the School of Traditional Arts (Zorig Chusum) to watch students learn Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts. In the afternoon, browse the Handicraft Emporium and local markets for souvenirs. Today’s journey takes you over the scenic Dochula Pass (3,110 m), decorated with 108 stupas and offering panoramic views of the snowcapped Himalayas. After descending into the subtropical valley of Punakha, visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, often called Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. In the evening, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple). Overnight stay in Punakha.

Begin the trekking section of your journey with a walk through traditional villages, rice fields, and farmlands. The trail is easy and provides an intimate look at rural Bhutanese life. Interact with locals and experience their warm hospitality. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or local lodge.

This is the highlight of the trip. After breakfast, embark on a hike to the world-famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside. The hike takes about 4–5 hours round trip and rewards you with breathtaking views and spiritual serenity. After visiting the monastery, return to Paro and rest. Overnight stay in Paro.

Today, visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Later, experience a rejuvenating traditional hot stone bath, a Bhutanese wellness therapy, followed by a farewell cultural dinner with your guide. Overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. With unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s landscapes, culture, and spirituality, your journey comes to an end.
