Overview

Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda Trek is a hidden treasure in Nepal.  It covers  just 11-days in Langtang Gosaikunda area. Before arriving to the Kyanjin Gompa, where you will be encircled by mountains on all sides, the hike will take you past lush jungle, villages, and terraced agricultural fields. You may reach the highest point of 4610 meters by hiking to Gopte over the Laurebina La Pass.

You will witness a glimpse from heaven that will endure a lifetime at the conclusion of the 11-day Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. On this moderate to difficult trek, you’ll pass through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth. You will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas and Langtang Valley as you go up the Laurebina La Pass.

The nicest thing about this journey is that it’s quite convenient to get there from Kathmandu, which makes it a great choice for anybody who wants to see this stunning section of Nepal. Come along on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure with us!

Itinerary

We will travel 122 kilometers (six hours) via local bus from Kathmandu to SyabruBesi after an early breakfast. We will be able to take in the picturesque settlements with panoramic views of the Langtang Himalaya and snow-capped mountains throughout those six hours. Here, you will spend the night and unwind in this lovely environment for the remainder of the day.

Our hiking adventure will begin near the village of Syabrubesi, which is also the Langtang National Park entrance. After obtaining all the licenses required for our journey here, we’ll set out on our journey.

Not too long after, we’ll pass a bridge over the Bhotekoshi River, go 11.3 kilometers, and ascend via the eastern settlement of Old SyabruBesi. The south Langtang River awaits us there, where we may take in the clean air, monkey antics, waterfalls, steam at Dovan (1680m), and much more.

Today we’ll be traveling down the Langtang River, passing through the villages of GhodaTabela, Mundu, and Ghumna Chowk, and ending up at the Lama Hotel, which is our last stop for the day.

We will have an unforgettable experience in nature as we continue our hike by the Langtang River, which is 14.8 kilometers from the Lama Hotel. During the hike, we will have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views, ascend a hill, and then abruptly arrive at Ghunama, the well-known lunch location of Ghoratabela (2970m), surrounded by hemlock, maple, and rhododendron woods. From here, you may get breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung.

We will register your document with the Ghoda Tabela army and authorize the hike as part of the Langtang Valley hike permission procedure. The route ascends gradually from Ghoratabela via a U-shaped glacier valley, passing through Thangshyap and Gompa before arriving at Langtang (3430m).

Starting our journey will be one of the most unforgettable trekking experiences of our lives: the lengthy walk (6.8 kilometers, approximately 4 hours) from Langtang Valley to Kyangjin Gompa. After breakfast in the early hours of the morning, we will proceed to walk through picturesque tiny towns in order to reach the Kyangjin Gompa (3840m).

Buddhist monasteries with significant historical and artistic importance can be found here.

Today, we visit the stunning Kyangjin Gompa. For amazing views, we can ascend to an observation station at 4300 meters on the glacier moraine on Langtang Lirung’s northern flank. Hiking to the Kyangjin Ri viewpoint (4600m) is an interesting day trip; alternatively, you can trek up to Tsergo Ri (4984% elevation), which is a more strenuous hike.

Another well-liked hiking path that ascends the valley to grasslands everywhere for even more breathtaking views of the Langtang Himalaya is called Langshisa Kharka.

We are trekking back to the Lama Hotel today in order to get to Gosaikunda Lake, which is our next stop. We will travel down the valley on the trail as we descend to Sayabrubesi via Langtang and Ghoratabela. We will then hike uphill on the same trail to reach the Gosaikunda Trek.

After breakfast in the early morning, we will resume our trail, which ascends a steep landslide to Thulo Syabru (2,210m). The stunning Sherpa and Tamang village of Thulo Syabru offers breathtaking views of Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal. The hamlet offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains because of its high elevation. To fully experience the tranquility of the village, you can stay here for the night.

Before starting the journey the following morning, we’ll eat breakfast at the settlement of Thulo Syabru. We will be hiking uphill through gorgeous pine, bamboo, and rhododendron forests. We will go via a number of mountain villages en route to Chandan Bari Sing Gompa, where we will spend the night.

The Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himalaya mountains will be beautifully visible, and this stop will be even more memorable because to the nearby cheese factory. Nonetheless, Sing Gompa’s Buddhist monastery is the primary draw.

After breakfast in Gompa, we set off early in the morning on our hike. Our goal for today’s hike is Gosaikunda (4,380 m), which we will get there by way of Lauribinayak. We make our way to our destination, passing by lovely pine and rhododendron trees along the way. We also get to witness breathtaking vistas of the Manaslu range, Langtang Lirung, and Ganesh Himal along the route. Some of the adventure’s highlights are Tibetan Peak and Hiunchuli. We hike relentlessly in the direction of Gosaikunda, arriving at our goal by dusk. Here, we stay the night.

We eventually get to see the ethereal Gosaikunda Lake, which is located in the center of the mountain range, after a protracted and difficult journey. After breakfast, we’ll make the quick trek to Gosaikunda Lake in the morning. We’ll eat breakfast and then take some time to relax in the open air and idyllic surroundings after taking a leisurely stroll around the stunning Gosaikunda. Then we take Sing Gompa and head downhill to Dhunche.

We will be parting ways today, marking the conclusion of our lengthy and exciting adventure together. After driving to Kathmandu from Dhunche, we check you into your accommodation. You can go around the tourist attractions in the evening and go family shopping in Thamel during the day. We’ll discuss our reflections and trekking experiences over a farewell meal.
