Terms and Conditions for Booking a Trip with Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd.

Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. ("Company," "we," or "us") provides an online platform that allows users to plan and book travel-related services. By accessing or using the website located at https://nepalliontrekking.com/ (the "Site"), or by booking any product or service offered through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms").

We deeply value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please take the time to read through our Privacy Policy before using our website or services. Booking Policy

To book a trip with us, you must complete the reservation form and submit it along with a scanned copy or photocopy of your passport. A down payment of 30% of the total trip cost must be made at least 30 days (1 calendar month) before the scheduled departure date. Failure to make the down payment on time may result in cancellation of your booking. The remaining balance may be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, except for tours to Bhutan, India, or Tibet, in which case the balance must be paid 20 days before departure. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if payments are not made on time.

Postponement, Cancellation & Refund Policy

• If you postpone your trip, your payment will be credited toward your new travel dates.
• If you cancel your trip, the 30% down payment is non-refundable and will be treated as a cancellation fee. Any excess amount over the cancellation fee will be refunded to your bank account or credit card.
• In cases of unforeseen circumstances beyond your control, you may reschedule your tour to another date.
• All postponements, cancellations, or rescheduling must be notified via email at least 14 days before the tour departure date.

Special Cases:

• Bhutan Tours: Cancellation incurs a fee of 30% of the trip cost.
• Tibet Tours: Cancellation incurs a fee of 50% of the trip cost.

Note: Cancellation fees for Bhutan and Tibet tours are subject to the policies of our respective local agents.

Changes in Prices

All tour rates are quoted in US dollars and may change. Once your booking is confirmed with a down payment, the price is guaranteed—unless there are significant currency fluctuations, newly imposed government taxes, or other unavoidable cost increases beyond our control.

Last-Minute Bookings

We accept last-minute bookings for Nepal treks and tours up to 3 days before departure. However, last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet tours are not permitted.

Mode of Payment

You may pay via:

• Cash,
• Credit Card (an additional 3.75% processing fee applies),
• SWIFT/Wire Transfer (any associated bank or service charges are your responsibility).

Acceptance of Risk

Adventure travel in Nepal may involve risks beyond our control, including health and safety hazards. You accept full responsibility for any inherent risks involved in the trip.

• You must comply with all local laws and regulations during your travels.
• Any involvement in illegal acts or behavior that may cause danger, distress, or annoyance to others will result in immediate termination of your trip—with no refund.

Liability

Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for:

• Loss, damage, injury, illness, incomplete tours, or changes due to unforeseen events such as weather, strikes, natural disasters, government regulations, or other factors outside our control.
• Performance issues with third-party providers (such as airlines, buses, or hotels).

We reserve the right to alter routes, itineraries, or departure times if required for safety reasons.

Incomplete Tour

If a tour is not completed due to circumstances related to you—such as illness, delayed arrival, family emergencies, or other unpredictable events—whether voluntary or involuntary, no refunds or discounts will be provided.

Flight Delays and Cancellations

Flight delays and cancellations are common in Nepal, especially during the monsoon season. We strongly recommend:

• Allowing extra days in your itinerary for unexpected changes,
• Purchasing travel insurance that covers flight delays and cancellations.

Nepal Lion Tours and Treks Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for any additional costs incurred due to flight-related disruptions.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance—especially for treks and climbs above 2,500 meters. Your insurance should cover:

• Medical emergencies
• Emergency evacuation (e.g., helicopter rescue).

You must provide a copy of your travel insurance upon arrival in Kathmandu before your trip begins.
