Online trip briefing

Chulu West Peak Climbing is a mountain in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is a popular peak for climbing and trekking, with a peak elevation of 6,419 meters (21,079 feet). The climb typically takes several days, and requires a high level of physical fitness and technical climbing skills.

Itinerary

On the first day, you will arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport, where we will receive warm greetings and an introduction. Then, we will take you to your comfy hotel to rest for the day and refresh.

We will drive to Syange for our trekking journey to commence. We will take the path going through Besi Sahar via Prithvi Highway. Throughout the way, you will view the beautiful snow-capped mountains from a distance.

Today, we will start our trekking journey starting from Dharapani. We will walk along the banks of the Marshyangdi river and come across many local ethnic villages. A suspension bridge will go once we cross Tal village, leading us to Dharapani’s ascension.

On this day, as we head toward Chame, we will see the spectacular views of Mt. Annapurna II (7,937 m) and Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m). The trail is a beautiful pathway showing astounding landscapes and local vegetation. By the end of the day, we will be staying overnight at Chame.

As we continue our ascension trail, we will reach the gateway of Pisang Peak Climbing, the Pisang village. This day brings us extra enjoyment as we can view Mt. Annapurna IV (7,525 m) and Mt. Lamjung (6,983 m) along with Annapurna II (7,937 m) and Manaslu (8,163 m).

We will reach Manang Village today, which is also the headquarters of the Manang district. The route now takes us through a hilly trail all the way. You will love the culture and traditions of the people living in the village. As we stay for the night, you can explore all you want for the day.

Since we will now be above 3,500 meters of altitude, our body needs to adapt to the climate and elevation. So, we will take the whole day to rest and explore the beautiful village.

Now, the ascension trail leads us to Letdar Phedi. The views of beautiful landscapes will grow even prettier from the higher elevation viewpoint. We will see the mountains clearer as we move toward Chulu West.

We will finally reach the base camp of Chulu West as we ascend the trail from Letdar Phedi. The journey is about 6 hours, and we will rest at specific points. However, the sceneries keep getting broader and more appealing as we climb upward.

The elevation reaches over 5,000 meters today. We will move upward to Camp I from the Base Camp, climbing about 200 meters of distance. We will set up our camp and relax for the day once we reach there.

Acclimatization is an essential process for climbers to adjust their bodies to the high altitude and reduced oxygen levels found at high elevations. When climbing Chulu West, acclimatization at Camp I is an important step in preparing for the summit push. During this time, climbers should focus on resting, hydrating, and eating well to help their bodies adjust to the altitude.

Climbers may also choose to do short hikes or climbs around Camp I to help their bodies acclimate further. It’s essential to listen to your body and not push yourself too hard during this time, as overexertion can increase the risk of altitude sickness.

We will climb Camp II further to continue our journey to Chulu West Peak. Our destination is one step away from this point. So, we will prepare for our climb the next day and rest for the night in our camp.

Finally, Day is here. We will summit the Chulu West Peak today. On the top of the mountain are the rewarding views of mountains awaiting us. So, we tirelessly ascend toward the peak and reach our goal.

Our returning trail starts from Letdar Phedi as we descend toward it. You will have enough time to relax and reminisce about your experience in mountain climbing. This day is yours to enjoy as the victorious one.

This day could be challenging as it primarily has uphills and barely any plain areas. We will pass through Letdar Village, the last village we pass by, before reaching Thorang Phedi. All your hard work will be worth it once you see the exciting views of mountains like Gudang, Thorung, Khatungkan, and many more.

You will finally get to the World’s Highest Pass on the eleventh day, Thorang La Pass. From such a height, you will be amazed by the scenery you’ll see here. It is a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. After you cross the pass, you will reach a famous temple, Muktinath.

Believed the home of Lord Vishnu, Muktinath is a holy temple for Hindus. It also signifies Hindu-Buddhist harmony through nunnery. You will learn many things about these religions on this day’s tour.

After exploration, we will start descending toward Jomsom, the windiest town in Nepal, through Kagbeni. You can see many natural sceneries from your room window in this place.

You will have an early flight to Pokhara on this day. Pokhara is the tourist hub of Nepal, so you will come across many fellow travelers as you explore the Lakeside streets. Besides, there are many pubs and restaurants to relax and eat delicacies.

Finally, with our tour guide, you will return to Kathmandu by a comfy tourist bus. Your trip would have been exhausting, so you can rest easy on the bus or enjoy the green scenery of the Hilly region. We will have a celebratory dinner in the evening with our whole trekking team and celebrate our successful journey.

After completing our Annapurna Circuit, we will drop you at the Tribhuwan Internation Airport. It’s time for you to return home. You will be returning with nothing but good memories and beautiful souvenirs.
