Itinerary
Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you are warmly greeted by our Nepal Lion Treks representative and transferred to your hotel in Thamel. In the evening, there is a detailed briefing covering the trek plan, equipment, and safety measures. The night is spent preparing for the journey ahead.
Today you explore Kathmandu’s rich cultural heritage, visiting sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. These ancient monuments give insight into Nepal’s spiritual and cultural fabric. In the afternoon, you complete gear checks and meet your climbing guides for a thorough briefing.
After an early breakfast, take a scenic drive through winding roads along the Marshyangdi River valley, passing villages and terraced fields until reaching Chame, the headquarters of the Manang District.
Begin trekking through dense pine forests with views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. The trail gradually ascends to Pisang, a picturesque village surrounded by mountains.
Walk through alpine landscapes while enjoying the backdrop of the Annapurna range. The trail leads to Humde, a small but charming village with an airstrip and traditional settlements.
From Humde, head towards Julu Khola following a quieter trail. The trek passes through yak pastures and offers breathtaking mountain vistas.
Take a rest day for acclimatization. Short hikes around the area help the body adjust to higher altitudes while enjoying the serene environment.
Ascend gradually towards the base camp of Chulu East. The camp is set in a beautiful location with close-up views of Chulu East and surrounding peaks.
Another important rest and acclimatization day at base camp. Preparation of climbing equipment and basic training will be provided by the guide.
Make a steady climb to the high camp, where you’ll rest and prepare for the summit push. The campsite offers panoramic views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges.
The most awaited day of the expedition. Begin early with headlamps, following the guide across snow and ice slopes. Upon reaching the summit, witness breathtaking 360° views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and other Himalayan giants. Descend safely back to base camp.
After the successful summit, retrace the trail down towards Manang, a culturally rich village with Tibetan-influenced traditions and monasteries.
From Manang, follow the trail that leads towards Tilicho Lake. The path gradually climbs to Siri Kharka through alpine terrain.
Continue trekking towards Tilicho Base Camp, located below Tilicho Peak. The rugged landscape and dramatic rock formations make the journey exciting.
Visit the mesmerizing Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. After exploration, return to base camp.
Cross the challenging Mesokanta La Pass and descend towards Yak Kharka, enjoying remarkable views along the way.
Descend further into the Kali Gandaki Valley, reaching Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang.
Take a scenic morning flight to Pokhara. Enjoy a relaxing day exploring lakeside attractions, boating on Phewa Lake, or visiting caves and waterfalls.
These extra days are kept as a buffer in case of weather delays or the need for additional acclimatization during the expedition.

Return to Kathmandu by road, enjoying the countryside scenery. In the evening, celebrate your successful expedition with a farewell dinner.
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for onward journey. Take home unforgettable memories of the mountains, culture, and the triumphant summit of Chulu East.
