Kailash and Mansarovar Lake Yatra- 15 days
Tibet
Trip Highlights:
- Spiritual Cleansing: Taking a holy dip in the pristine Lake Mansarovar is believed to purify the soul.
- Divine Connection: Pilgrims aim to establish a profound connection with Lord Shiva by circumambulating Mount Kailash (Parikrama/Kora), a practice believed to lead to spiritual liberation.
- Breathtaking Landscapes: The journey traverses untouched and stunning natural beauty, offering panoramic views of the Tibetan Plateau and snow-capped peaks.
- Religious Significance: The Yatra unites followers of various traditions, all seeking spiritual solace and enlightenment.
- Pashupatinath Puja & Darshan: Many journeys begin with seeking blessings at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
- Luxury and Comfort (for specific tour operators): Some tour operators offer premium accommodations, freshly prepared vegetarian meals from private kitchens, and expert teams to ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience.
- Full Moon Dates: Special importance is given to performing the Yatra during Full Moon dates for enhanced spiritual impact.
- Challenging Trek: The Yatra is physically demanding, involving trekking and travel at high altitudes (often above 5,000m/16,404ft), requiring good physical fitness and acclimatization. The Dolma La Pass (5,630m/18,471ft) is a particularly challenging section of the Kora.
