The trail to Yala Peak

Yala Peak takes you to explore the great Himalayas near the  Tibetan border. These 14 days of pure fun, showcase some of the best trails known to mankind. With adventures and nature-filled within every corner, this trail stuns many. The trek starts from Syabrubesi as you take a drive from Kathmandu.

The trek starts from there as you trek through Langtang to reach the famous Kyanjin Gompa. Moreover, from here you will be ascending to the Yala Peak Base Camp around the 7th-day mark. Therefore, settling in at the Base Camp for acclimatization, you will be summiting the peak in the next few days. Thus, the descent starts from the same trail, as in just 2 days you will reach Syabrubesi. From there you will drive back to Kathmandu ending this journey.

On the first day of your trip, you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport. We will receive you from Tribhuwan International Airport. From here, we will drop you at your comfy hotel, where you can get refreshed. You can also explore the nightlights of the city.

The following day, we will take you sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. We will only be able to cover the major tourist attraction sights. You will be fascinated by the historical and religious heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more.

Today, we will drive North to Syabrubesi in a private vehicle. The journey is of 8 hours and will take you to higher altitudes in the region. You will explore many local Nepali cultures on your way and the topographical diversity of the country.

Now, you will officially start trekking toward Yala Peak. Our first walking destination is Lama Hotel at 2,500 meters altitude. The highlights of this day are the Langtang river and the beautiful rhododendron forest.

The following day, we will head to our next destination, Langtang Village. Our trail goes through Gumanechowk, coming across beautiful sights of Yaks grazing.

We will start trekking toward Yala Peak Base Camp from Kyanjin Gompa today. You can expect our trail to be rocky, and we will walk through pastures. By the end of the day, we will be camping at the Base camp and enjoying our time.

Finally, we will pack our bags and commence our climb to Yala Peak. It is a short climb compared to other mountain climbs. Moreover, we will see astounding views of Mt. Lirung, Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Mt Shishapangma, and many more mountains. 

After the mountain climb, we will descend to Kyanjin Gompa. Furthermore, we will stay overnight there.

We are on our returning trail now. Our trail goes back to the route toward Lama Hotel. We will stay overnight here and relax.

On this day, we will descend to Syabrubesi through the returning trail. The mountains seem far away and go away from sight as we reach the end.
