Best Season to trek Ganesh Himal

Ganesh Himal Cultural Trek is one of the few treks, where weather plays a crucial role. For most trekkers and hikers, Spring and autumn seasons are the go-to seasons. The summer in Nepal coincides with monsoon thus making the path slippery and risky.

January-February

The mid-winter time in Nepal is the coldest time of the year. The night gets extremely cold, whereas the day is somewhat bearable. Thus, most of the part is covered with snow.

March – June

Considered the perfect season to trek the Ganesh Himal. The most favorable weather when it comes to temperature and predictability. Also, the views are stunningly clear. You may get a chance to see the whole Himalayan region throughout the trek. The snow-capped Mountains and of course the hill full of Rhodondern. Talking about May-June, Probably another great season to trek before the monsoon hits Nepal which is the end of June. The pre-summer season with a touch of spring to it provides the best climate and daytime to trek this region.

July – August

The mid-monsoon time in Nepal. Around this time of the year, the path i.e trail gets extremely wet and slippery. Thus, making it unfavorable to trekking and hiking. However, people take and risk and go, we suggest not.

However, there are benefits to trekking around this time that is the big streams, rivers, and the great waterfalls you get to experience.

September – October

Another set of perfect months for Ganesh Himal Cultural Trekking. The months of September and October are the months with great temperature stability. With great clear views and a stunning atmosphere. Also, Dashain and Tihar the great festival of Nepal fall around this part of the year. So you get to experience it, gaining its cultural importance for Nepalese people. For those who are beginners in this field, we would suggest choosing this time of the year for the best experience.

November – December

The winter touches the Nepal region, with all the high altitudes getting covered in thick snow. This really is the most favorable time of the year to trek this part. The nights are really cold with temperatures well below freezing point.
